Reconnect with yourself and others to live a more fulfilling life.
Tools to help you reflect, reset, and return to yourself.
Do the Work
You don’t need to fix yourself — you just need to face yourself. Doing the work means starting, even when you feel unready. It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence.
Reclaim Your Life
You’ve spent so long being someone you’re not — contorting yourself into a version of what the world expects. Now you wonder why you’re burned out, exhausted, unfulfilled… Even though you’re doing well. Even though others have it harder. You’ve been twisting yourself for so long, you don’t even know who you are anymore.
That’s exhausting.
To reclaim yourself, to take back who you were born to be is a profound kind of relief. Freedom. Confidence. It feels like self-respect. It radiates out as quiet power. And as you draw closer to your true self, you begin to attract people who love the real version you; and not the ones who expect the made-up version. The version you invented to survive.
It's never too late to start. As long as you’re still breathing, it’s not too late to let your real self come through.
Help Others
When you stop circling your own pain, you stop passing it on. This work isn’t just personal. It's communal. It’s generational.
The moment you stop abandoning yourself, you stop abandoning others. What you heal in yourself helps shape what others believe is possible. That’s the real inheritance: presence, not pain.
This is more than just about you — it’s about everyone who gets to meet a version of you that’s no longer in hiding.
Pathways
Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why I’ve created a few starting points — quiet tools for deep reflection.
If one of these messages speaks to where you're at right now, follow it.
You’ll find resources that meet you there — and support you to keep going.
I don't know where to start
Start here. The 12 Week Planner is suitable for those who don't know where to start, are new to shadow work, get overwhelmed, or prefer guided structure.
I'm a parent trying to break cycles
You’re determined not to pass down the pain. Breaking cycles starts with awareness — and you’re already there. This is your line in the sand. The legacy you pass on. The pain stops with you.
What does it look like when you get in your own way? Find out why? You might be surprised to learn it's not what you think it is.
I keep sabotaging my own success
A common complaint is that shadow work is individualistic. But you're not an island. We all need to feel connected, to know we belong somewhere. It's all part of the healing.
The big picture
About me
Hi, I’m Ruby, and I enjoy researching stuff, collecting, curating and writing about it, and bringing it all together to make a collection of things that help me understand the world around me. And I believe what I share will help you too.
I’ve dealt with shadow work in the past — except we didn’t call it shadow work. We called it CBT, DBT, therapy, mindset work. The story is the same: the more you put in, the more you get out. No pain, no gain. But you’ve been here before. Whether it was diets, building muscle, stamina, strength, knowledge, study — it’s all the same. You’ve got to put in the work to get the results.
So if you’re here hoping for a quick fix, you’ve found the wrong place. But if you’re here to get results — sustainable results — and accept that it’s going to take some work using muscles in your mind that you haven’t used for a long time... not because you couldn’t be bothered, but because your survival mechanism has been so strong in protecting you... then this is for you.
Your survival mechanism has been working overtime to keep you alive. In fact, it’s been overdoing its job. And now it’s time for you to let it know — it’s okay now. You’re no longer a vulnerable child. You’re going to do the work so your survival mechanism can relax a little.
I say a little because your survival mechanism is always going to be there — and because of that, your shadow will always be there too, to some degree. That’s why this is a lifelong process. But the difference between before — and from this point forward — is that you know exactly what you’re dealing with. And you know what to do. Compared to before, when you were just running on autopilot... this time, you’re in the driver’s seat.
This is transformation — at times it's going to be uncomfortable, but oh so worth it. This is where the real work begins.
Still not convinced?
